"Labor of Love"

Labor Day weekend represents for most of us the end of a casual, fun filled summer. We may spend the weekend on a final trip to the beach, having a cook out or picnic. The idea for Labor Day, however began as a way to honor the worker and rose out of the labor unions desire to validate the worker by giving them a day off. At Unity this week, we will explore the Labor Day holiday and also the work that calls all of us to a-"Labor of/in Love"

Barefoot Sunday May 16- 11am
Wear the shoes you wish to donate and experience during the service, what it is like to be without shoes.
In December on Collection Sunday
We collected 126 pairs of shoes-
GREAT WORK
It is estimated that there are over 1.8 billion shoes in American closets that are no longer in use and will end up in landfills. Let's step up, clean out our closets and ask our neighbors to do the same. It is cool to be green! However, this is only half the program! We will distribute the shoes to areas of need in our community.
